Annual Dinner and Prize Giving Ceremony 2007
Annual Pharmacy Dinner and Prize Giving Ceremony was held at the University Club, UWA on September 10th, 2007. The evening was attended by students and guests from years 1 and 2 of the Master of Pharmacy Programme and the 2007 Class of Graduates and their guests. During dinner, subject and year awards were presented to students currently in the programme and to the new graduates by representatives from the sponsoring organisations and from the Faculty. Attending the evening from outside UWA were guests from the Pharmaceutical Council of W.A., Pharmaceutical Defence Limited, Society for Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, Pharmacy Departments in the teaching hospitals, and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, including the Amcal Regional Group, Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Varian Australia Pty Ltd and Wyeth Australia Pty Ltd. Gladys Heedes Medal: The evening celebrated the awarding of the Gladys Heedes Medal for the first time to our top student in the Master of Pharmacy. Gladys attended the evening and awarded the medal in her name to Christel Burgess.
